THE WAY TO RESTORATION AND REPENTANCE

The Bibles instruction about restoration according to Paul, Galatians 6:1-2 “ v.1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. V.2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Character of a natural man:

a.) A natural man is sinful in nature (It is normal and common unto a natural man to sin)
b.) A carnal man’s thinking is naturally sinful (A sinful thinking of a sinner will lead him easy to sin)

Character of a spiritual man:
a.) A spiritual man overcomes the sinful nature but can still sin occasionally
b.) A spiritual man overcomes sin through Jesus Christ by the renewing of his mind and overcoming his will for Christ. Romans 12:1-2

Steps of Repentance:
1. Confession – 1 John 1:8-10 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
2. Walking in the Light – 1 John 1:5-7; 2:11 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.
3. Do not Love the world – 1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

A call for Repentance:
* Ezekiel 18:30-32 Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

* Revelation 2:4,5 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

*Revelation 2:20-21 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. 21I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.

*Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let us reason together, " says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool….

Steps to Restoration:
1.) Overcome your guilt – 1 John 3:20,21-22,23-24- whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. (NIV) Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will received from Him whatever we ask because we obey Him and do the things that please Him.(New Living Translation)
2.) Trusting God to find an Exit - 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

The symptoms of unrepentant heart and unbelief:
1. Depression - sometimes people want to die or wanting to die
2. unforgiveness – even to the extent of unforgiving oneself or itself – spiritual poison
3. bitterness and strife
4. rage
5. anger
6. hopelessness
7. hypocrisy
8. worry
9. fear
10. anxiety
11. constipation
12. sleeplessness

They will loose the vital elements and character of their soul (If a Christian lost his Faith and not allowing the Holy Spirit to intervene he will loose all the vital character for being a Christian)
1. Love
2. Peace
3. Joy
4. Hope
5. Security

If you have all these symptoms of unrepentant heart and unbelief you must overcome them by:
1. Believing instead of unbelief
2. Faith in exchange of doubt
3. Peace in exchange of worries and fear
4. Hope instead of hopelessness
5. Joy in the Holy Ghost will restore your Love in the Lord. Acts 3:19-20

Therefore, you can start seeking God and know His will for your life, study His Word so that you will not gratify the sinful nature (Galasians 5:19-21). Stop sinning and live a righteous life (Galatians 5:22-26).

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

God Bless you and may you live under the Grace and Mercy of God.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
