  LGA News Letter -To His Glory!! I am free! Part 2

Many people where asking for more details, that is why I am sending this to all of you.

Continued form part one;

After several hours pasted during which time they confirmed the young man was drunk.  He had been attending a birthday party two kilometers from where I hit and killed him.  It became apparent that I was going to be charged and held by the police until I could stand before the judge for the charge of homicide.  The judge was out of town until Monday, therefore it was necessary for them to put me in jail.  There were four prisoners in custody three for several murders, another for rape.  The law required that the chief of police place me inside with them.  Thank Father that he touched the heart of the chief and he came and told me, I will make a place for you to sleep in an upstairs office.  I was crying and praying all day and finally that afternoon the family drove up.  To say the least it was a very awkward and humbling experience for me.  What do you say or do with a mother and father who's son you just killed.  I was so blessed when it became apparent they had no anger towards me.  Barbra was able to prayer with their other son and daughter that was there.  I attempted to pray for the mother and when I mentioned Jesus name, she said in a loud voice do not pray for me in Jesus name, I am a Roman Catholic.  My attempt to help her understand so I could pray for her failed, so I prayed with the father.

For a short time it looked like they might be able to release me that day.  I really wanted and needed to go home to Dumaguete City, so the reminder of what had happened  would not be so great.  When their attempts to get bail for me failed, all I could do was cry.  Father's will was for me to stay in jail, that became clear to me with each passing hour.  There would be four people that I would share my testimony to personally and would display Christ to the whole police force and residents around the station.

George and Gary went to find a place for them to shower, Gary changed shirts and the one he wore had words about being a Christian.  A man began asking them why they were there and they told him the story about what had happened.  The man had a ministry house near by and told them Barbra could stay there at no charge. It may seem like a small thing, but it was a great encouragement to me.  The representative of the family began to tell me what they wanted me to do.  I was to pay 40,000 pesos for the burial and the minimum of 50,000 for the death of their son.  According to Philippine law you must pay if you caused the death of someone, no matter if you are guilty or not in causing the death.  By Monday for me to be released I must pay the forty thousand plus bail and court cost, a total of  65,500 pesos in all.   Gary had the money in the bank in Dumaguete and would loan it to us.  I  would then need to raise the other 50,000 pesos.  Thank God for friends like Gary and George, I was to learn we had many other people who loved and cared for us.

The first night I slept in the office on the floor with no bedding.  Although the floor was hard I was thankful not to be inside the jail cell.  Every time I closed my eyes the snap shot of the man flashed in my mind.  Sleeping would not have been easy if I would have had a feather bed.  I was thankful to see dawn beginning to light the sky out of my window.
Barbra were very concerned about the soul of the young man.  Here is a vision that Gary received in church while worshiping.

As I was worshiping in the church and asking God. Why; for the last few days, a little depressed and shaken because it could have been me driving! The Lord had compassion on on me and gave me a vision of a young man staggering all over the road. I knew he was drunk and very depressed because I could feel the pain of depression. In despair he was crying out to God as he was staggering and sat down in the middle of the road. At the impact his spirit was separated from his body and demonic spirits immediately whirled around him. A great light exploded covering the whole scene with blinding light. I knew it was Jesus outlined in the light and heard Jesus ask "do you accept me." Then the young man and Jesus disappeared. Amazed at what I had seen, I realized what had happened. That the Grace of God was stronger than the forces of hell.... and Jesus had just saved another poor soul from eternity in the pits of hell. The devil had set a trap, he thought he could kill his body and deceive the mind of this young man to make one fatal mistake; but God owned his spirit and would not let him go! God is so Great! All the time and we do not realize how powerful the grace of God and Jesus is.

I was informed they had wi-fi and I could use my computer.  The word spread quickly among our ministry and soon we were blessed with calls and texts. I talked with my sister on Skype, I had never heard her say the words I would hear coming from her heart, I WILL PRAY FOR YOU.
