LGA News Letter -To His Glory!! I am free!

To our covenant friends and family,
Before I take the time to give you a detailed description of the challenges of these past few days allow me to repeat a response I gave to one of the Churches that just wrote me by email this morning.

You and so many others like you have strengthened me and proven without a doubt that as Father's Church we stand as one with Him. No amount of riches compiled on this earth can compare to the LOVE AND CARE you have given to Barbra and I. Also no dictionary has the words to express our thanks and the feelings we have in our hearts. All we can say is Father, pour out back to everyone much more then they have poured out to us.

We have been blessed and guarded by the thousands of people who have prayed for us before and during this time of trial. We never know or understand why things happen. This one thing I do know, Father is in control of our lives. Just after the accident the Word that came to me was " all things work together for good " I responded Father please help us get the good from all this.

Also I want to express the value and blessing of my wife Barbra. She would not leave me alone there in jail, she stayed by my side everyday. She walked many time from the room where she slept at night to the jail because there were no rides for her to take, she brought me food and sat encouraging me with her words.

One more thing before I write about the past few days. It seems the enemy has been trying to discourage us and destroy the ministry that Father has raised up here in this nation. The pressures of depleting monthly support had effected both of us. We had lost over $1500.00 in monthly support this past six months. Barbra was so depressed she spoke of going back to the U.S. to work there. Thank God she came out of her depression and didn't talk of that anymore. Well not being able to stop us that way the enemy tried another way. You will see what the enemy meant for bad Father has turned around for good.

PART 1
We were four of us that traveled to the Island of Bohol and had finished four days of victorious meetings. While driving back to our base in Dumaguete at 4:15 am I had just slowed down for a curve in the road. While turning the curve my headlight were not shinning towards the man who was sitting in the middle of my side of the hi-way. As I completed the turn my lights made the man visible to us. it was like taking a snap shot with a camera, for just an instant Barbra and I saw him. I could not stop in time and my front bumper hit his head, killing him instantly. Not knowing if he was dead for sure we saw some lights a few meters ahead and drove there to call an ambulance. The Filipino pastor with us said we needed to find a police station, because many time the family of the victim will retaliate and kill the one who killed their kin. We drove to the town proper and I turned myself into the police.

The law in the Philippines requires a person causing the death of another must be charged with homicide. Also by law you will pay for the victims burial $800.00 plus, and damages to the family that could reach up to $3000,00. The police assured me I was not guilty because it was determined the man was a drunkard. Also the family need to be happy that it was a Christian who killed their son because a lot of people would hit and run. I told them my God would never allow me to do such a thing. I could not stop crying, because the words in my mind was that I had killed a soul that Jesus died for. The next four days I spent in jail will be explained in part two.
