~What is~

What is

Worship is a gift we give, to the One who

gave us life, Come into His Presence of perfect

peace, And out of our trouble and strife.

Worship is the time we take, to bring

ourselves apart, From a world of rushing and

endless haste, And allow God to speak to our heart.

Worship is an act of love, for the One who loved

us so, That He gave His Son, who gave His all,
So we like our Master could grow.

Worship is a time of song, or prayer when all

words cease, A time of being lost in You,
And in Your perfect peace. Worship is the gift

of grace, as we wash in Your river of love,
Get lost in the knowledge of our God,
And His Spirit poured out from above.

Worship's what's required of us, from the first

command set down,
For to this end mankind was made,
From birth till we wear our crown.

And when this precious crown we wear, we'll

cast it at the feet; Of the One whom we have

worshiped, The One whom we long to meet.

"Yet a time is coming and has now come

when the true worshipers will worship the

Father in spirit and truth, for they are the

kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

God is spirit, and his worshipers must

worship in spirit and in truth."

 ~John 4:23-24~

"Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

"Ascribe to the LORD the glory due

his name; worship the LORD in the

splendor of his  holiness."

~Psalm 29:1-2~

"I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad

and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to

your name, O Most High."

~Psalm 9:1-2~

Let us celebrate together,
Lift our voice in one accord,
Singing of God's grace and mercy
And the goodness of the Lord. —Sper

*At the heart of worship is worship from the heart.*

Our very best we offer to You,
Gracious God, Almighty King;
As we come to You in worship,
Let our lives Your praises sing. —Sper

"You alone are worthy, Lord, to be worshiped

and adored; We to You our tribute bring.

As our hearts rejoice and sing."  —Hess
