~ Grant me~

"The Serenity Prayer"

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

"Trust in the LORD with all

 your heart and lean not on

your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge

him, and he will direct your paths."

~Proverbs 3:5~

"Be very careful, then, how you

live—not as unwise but as wise,

making the most of every opportunity,

because the days are evil. Therefore

do not be foolish, but understand

what the Lord's will is. Do not get

drunk on wine, which leads to

debauchery(wickedness). Instead, be

filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another

with psalms, hymns and spiritual

songs. Sing and make music in your

heart to the Lord, always giving thanks

 to God the Father for everything,

in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Submit to one another out of reverence

for Christ."~Ephesians 5:15-21~

"But you are a shield around

me, O LORD; you bestow glory

 on me and lift up my head.

To the LORD I cry aloud,
       and he answers me from

his holy hill.
       Selah

I lie down and sleep;
       I wake again, because the

 LORD sustains me.

 I will not fear the tens of

thousands drawn up against

me on every side.

Arise, O LORD!
       Deliver me, O my God!
       Strike all my enemies on

the jaw; break the teeth of the

wicked. From the LORD comes

 deliverance.
  May your blessing be on

your people.
    Selah"

~Psalm 3:5-8~

The blessings of the Lord are known
By those who will obey;
His wisdom, truth, and love are shown
To all who choose His way. —D. De Haan

*You can gain knowledge on your own,

 but wisdom comes from God.*

Though many be against me
And would attack my name,
I'll glory in my Savior
And trust Him just the same. —Fitzhugh

*No one is more secure than the

one who is held in God's hands.*

If our greatest need had been information

God would have sent us an educator

If our greatest need had been technology

God would have sent us a scientist

If our greatest need had been money

God would have sent us an economist

If our greatest need had been pleasure

God would have sent us an entertainer

But our greatest need was forgiveness
so God sent us a saviour
